Grass Pavers

NDS EZ Roll Grass Pavers & Tufftrack Panels

NDS EZ Roll grass pavers turn lawn into a surface that carries vehicles, from daily parking to fire trucks, while the grass keeps growing. They reduce soil compaction and erosion and let stormwater soak in.

Choose the 4' x 150' roll for large areas, the 4' x 24' roll for driveways and small pads, or Tufftrack 2' x 2' panels for tight spaces.

NDS Grass Pavers: Drivable Lawn for Driveways, Parking and Fire Lanes

Grass pavers are plastic honeycomb grids that let vehicles drive and park on grass without ruts or mud. The cells carry the load and protect the root zone, so the grass stays green and rain soaks in instead of running off. We are an authorized NDS dealer and stock the full NDS grass paver line: EZ Roll rolls and Tufftrack panels.

How Grass Pavers Work

Tires pack plain soil down until roots die and the lawn turns to mud. A grass paver spreads the weight across a compacted stone base, so the soil inside each cell stays loose. EZ Roll pavers are made of recycled HDPE with UV inhibitors, support H-20 and H-25 loads, and are rated by NDS for a 25-year life expectancy when well maintained.

Grass Paver FAQs

What are grass pavers called?

Grass pavers are also called turf pavers, grass grids, turf blocks, grass reinforcement grids or permeable grass pavers. They all hold soil in open cells so grass can grow while the grid carries foot or vehicle traffic.

How much do grass pavers cost?

NDS grass paver material costs about $3.51 per sq ft for the EZ Roll 4' x 150' roll ($2,110, free shipping), about $4.47 per sq ft for the 4' x 24' roll ($425) and about $4.13 per sq ft for Tufftrack panels ($16.50 each). Base stone, soil, seed and labor are extra.

Can you drive on grass pavers?

Yes. EZ Roll and Tufftrack support H-20 and H-25 loads, the ratings used for fire trucks. Install them over a compacted #57 stone base (6 in. minimum for cars and pickups) and keep traffic off for 4 to 6 weeks while the grass grows in.

Can I lay grass pavers directly on dirt?

Only for foot traffic on slopes up to 3%, according to NDS. Anything with wheels needs a compacted stone base: 4 in. for golf carts, 6 in. for cars and 8 in. for fire trucks.

Roll or panel: which grass paver should I buy?

Choose EZ Roll for straight, long areas like driveways and fire lanes because one roll covers 601.6 sq ft. Choose Tufftrack panels for curves, odd shapes or the heaviest loads (86,563 psf unfilled strength).
